The Chicago Bears are still playing for their postseason lives while Calvin Johnson will attempt to add to his NFL single-season receiving record.
The Lions will enter the game riding a seven-game losing streak. Detroit has not won since knocking off Jacksonville in Week 9. The Lions are 2-5 at home this season, but have lost their last four games at Ford Field. Calvin Johnson set the NFL single-season record for receiving yards, but can add to his record this week. Johnson is 108 yards shy of becoming the first player to eclipse 2,000 receiving yards in a season.
The Bears have lost five of their last seven games, but still have a chance to make the postseason. Chicago will need some help to get in, but if the Bears win and the Minnesota Vikings lose, Chicago would clinch the last NFC Wild Card berth. The Bears are 4-3 on the road this season, including a 28-13 win at Arizona last week.
Chicago won the first meeting between the teams this season a 13-7 defensive battle. Calvin Johnson had just 34 receiving yards in that game, his lowest total of the season.
