How to watch Raiders vs. Chargers online, TV schedule, radio and more

Thearon W. Henderson

There's nothing at stake but pride between the Raiders and the Chargers, but these old AFL rivals will still put it all on the line Sunday afternoon.

The Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers have each experienced disappointment in the 2012 season, but ask any fan of the two California teams, and they'll tell you that they still care deeply about the outcome on Week 17, when the two classic AFL rivals take each other on in a game that matters only for pride and draft position.

The Raiders, who were charged this year with reinventing themselves behind quarterback Carson Palmer and running back Darren McFadden, are 4-11 and have woefully underperformed all of their internal expectations. Although Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos have won the division, there's still plenty of animosity to go around, and most of it comes from the Raiders and their fans.

The Chargers, at this point, are playing for who appears to be a Dead Coach Walking in Norv Turner and a Dead G.M. Walking in A.J. Smith. Philip Rivers is having his worst season since he entered the league in the same year as Eli Manning and Ben Roethlisberger (hey Chargers fans, did you know that BOTH of then have won two Super Bowls?) Ryan Mathews continues to disappoint, but a great performance could, at the very least, give the Chargers confidence going into next season.
