The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to fire general manager Gene Smith at the end of the season.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to part ways with general manager Gene Smith, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com.
Schefter is also reporting that Jason Licht and Tom Gamble are the two primary candidates for the general manager position with the Jaguars.
Licht currently serves as the director of player personnel for the Arizona Cardinals while Gamble holds the same position with the San Francisco 49ers.
A decision on first-year head coach Mike Mularkey has yet to be made according to Schefter. Mularkey is 2-13 entering the team's final regular season game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The Jaguars have lost four straight games heading into the season finale and their 13 losses overall is a new franchise record.
Jacksonville's only wins this season came against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 23 and the Titans on Nov. 8.
At 2-13, the Jaguars are currently tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the worst record in the NFL.
