Drew Brees sets an NFL record in New Orleans.
The New Orleans Saints wont see the postseason this year, but quarterback Drew Brees has a new record to add to the multitudes he's already broken -- throwing for 5,000 yards in a second consecutive season.
Brees is the first quarterback to ever throw for 5,000 yards in back-to-back seasons. Dan Marino threw for 5,000 in 1984, but was unable to match the mark in 1985. Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford is trying to do the same for Detroit, where he needs another 200 yards to join Brees.
The Saints' season may be over, but with Sean Payton returning long term and Brees playing as well as ever, the future is bright for 2013 and beyond.
