Andy Reid may not have to wait long to be a head coach again as he will interview for the Arizona Cardinals head coaching vacancy.
Arizona president Michael Bidwill said he has reached out to Andy Reid and the Cardinals are interested in hiring Reid as their head coach. Reid, however, won't be the only candidate as Bidwill said he also reached out to Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy. In addition to Reid and McCoy, Arizona is also expected to interview current defensive coordinator Ray Horton. The Cardinals are looking for a head coach after Ken Whisenhunt was fired Monday after six seasons in Arizona.
If Reid were to land in Arizona, it would reunite him with Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb. Kolb spent four seasons in Philadelphia playing under Reid, having enough success to command considerable interest on the trade market. While he has struggled since joining the Cardinals a reunion with Reid could get him back to playing at a high level.
Reid compiled a 130-93-1 record in 14 seasons with the Eagles. Philadelphia made the postseason in nine of Reid's 14 seasons.
