US PRESSWIRE
The Buffalo Bills and St. Louis Rams are each just a tad below .500, and each need a win Sunday when they face off in Buffalo.
A pair of teams hanging on to slim playoff hopes meet Sunday in Buffalo, as the St. Louis Rams take on the Bills.
For St. Louis, things have turned around somewhat as they've won two straight games. It took them just about ten quarters to break a deadlock with the San Francisco 49ers: the squads tied in their first matchup, and nearly did again Sunday, as Greg Zuerlein's game-winning field goal came over 14 minutes into the overtime period between the squads. However, it was a worrisome day for the offense, with the team's points coming on a safety, a defensive touchdown, and two field goals.
The Bills might have found something with C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson running the ball: the pair combined for 186 yards on the ground against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 34-18 win.
At 5-7 and 5-6-1, respectively, both teams still have the ability to make the playoffs, but they won't be able to afford a loss to a similarly middling team.
