US PRESSWIRE
The Tennessee Titans play the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.
The Tennessee Titans head to Indianapolis to face a Colts team that so far this season has created opportunity to win, then seized it. The Titans simply want to have those opportunities to begin with when they play the AFC wildcard-leading Colts (8-4) Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Winning six of its last seven games, Indianapolis' 2-3 start is a thing of the past. Andrew Luck has emerged as not only a statistical prodigy with his six 300-plus passing games as a rookie -- a record in Indy -- but in his poise leading to wins. He is 7-1 in games decided by eight points or fewer. Last weeks' 35-33 victory at Detroit came via his touchdown pass to Donnie Avery with no time left in the game.
The Titans (4-8) will seek redemption after they lost 19-13 in overtime to the Colts on Oct. 28. Quarterback Jake Locker, who was injured for that game, will have his first shot at Indianapolis, but he'll need to play better than he has the past two games, both of which were losses. Locker threw two touchdowns and five interceptions in his last two outings combined. Tennessee's offense put up 360 and 354 yards on the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans, respectively, but fell 24-19 and 24-10 as the offense didn't turn yardage into points.
