Big Ben is active and will start Sunday against the visiting Chargers (1 p.m. ET on CBS).
The Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers inactive lists have been released, and as expected Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be active and start for the first time in three weeks.
Roethlisberger, who has been recovering from shoulder and chest injuries, will be backed up by Charlie Batch, who helped Pittsburgh (7-5) collect a 23-20 comeback victory against the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday.
Roethlisberger will have an extra weapon to throw to, as wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery will play after missing the last two games with a rib injury.
Not playing for the Steelers are: cornerback Ike Taylor, offensive guard John Malecki, linebacker LaMarr Woodley, running back Rashard Mendenhall, quarterback Byron Leftwich, defensive end Al Woods and offensive tackle Mike Adams.
Meanwhile, the Chargers (4-8) will be without: linebacker Donald Butler, tackle Jeromey Clary, wide receiver Eddie Royal, defensive end Antonio Garay, tight end Ladarius Green, guard Tyronne Green and tackle Mike Harris.
