A 72-yard run put the Panthers up big
Cam Newton is having a banner day against the Atlanta Falcons through the air and on the ground. Now, with a 72-yard touchdown run, Newton has the Panthers up by 23 points.
Finished with a flip! It's been a good day to be Newton. Earlier today, he showed his ability to escape when Corey Peters had him dead to rights, and on this play, he turned on the jets to lose every Falcons defender.
With this carry, Newton became the first quarterback in Carolina Panthers history to run for over 100 yards in a game, adding to his long list of team accolades.
