The Kansas City Chiefs are worried that wide receiver Dwayne Bowe may have broken two ribs Sunday against the Browns, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS. Bowe was knocked out of the Week 14 game in Cleveland late in the first quarter after taking a big blow to the midsection. He initially went down on the field and was vomiting before being helped to the locker room by the Kansas City training staff. It was promptly announced as a rib injury and his status moved from questionable to out as the second half began at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
Bowe is the Chiefs' top offensive weapon through the air, entering the week with a team-high 57 receptions for 731 yards. He has three touchdown catches this year, working with the struggling Brady Quinn-Matt Cassel rotation though the first 13 weeks of the season.
If the ribs are indeed broken, Bowe could miss more time beyond the final three quarters on Sunday against the Browns.
