Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE

Jets CB Antonio Cromartie suffered an apparent head injury after colliding with teammate Yeremiah Bell in the fourth quarter of the team's game against the Jaguars on Sunday.

New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie left the team's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fourth quarter after colliding with teammate Yeremiah Bell. Cromartie is being evaluated in the locker room, and his return is questionable, per Jets' official Twitter account.

Cromartie and Bell hit each other helmet-to-helmet on a play that nearly resulted in an interception. Cromartie was able to jog off the field following the hit, but stayed off the field for the remainder of the series, as well as during the Jaguars' next offensive possession. The Jets used Kyle Wilson, Darrin Walls and Ellis Lankster at the cornerback positions in Cromartie's absence.

Cromartie, a seventh-year pro out of Florida State, has registered 27 tackles and three interceptions in 2012 for the Jets. He has 25 picks in his career, including 10 in 2007 while with the San Diego Chargers.

Despite missing Cromartie, the Jets maintain a 17-10 lead over the Jaguars late in the fourth quarter.
