Robert Griffin III left the field with a knee injury.
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III left Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens with a right knee injury. His return is listed as 'questionable'.
Late in the forth quarter, RGIII was running outside the pocket when Haloti Ngata hit the rookie quarterback after a 13-yard gain. On getting up, Griffin III was noticeably limping -- and tried to continue to play, despite favoring his leg.
Robert Griffin III has garnered plenty of praise for his poise in the pocket, ability to diagnose defenses, and his skills as a dual-threat QB; however, he's received plenty of criticism too for playing fearlessly, running at times to his own detriment. Hits like this wont help silence his critics.
Robert Griffin III re-entered the game following this hit, but clearly had issue putting his whole weight on the right leg. Kirk Cousins entered the game, and the Redskins have not missed a step -- his first two passes were completions, including an 11-yard touchdown to Pierre Garcon.
