Hue Jackson has resurfaced after being fired as head coach of the Oakland Raiders last month. He will join the Cincinnati Bengals as a defensive and special teams assistant, according to Geoff Hobson of the team's official site, making this Jackson's third new home in four years.

Jackson was let go by the Raiders after his team went 8-8 during the regular season. Oakland would have made the playoffs with one more victory, but the team went 1-4 down the stretch, including a 20-point loss to the Miami Dolphins and a 30-point loss to the Green Bay Packers. They capped their season with a 38-26 loss to the San Diego Chargers, sending the Denver Broncos to the playoffs from the AFC West.
