Knowshon Moreno Arrested For Drunk Driving

Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno was arrested for drunk driving last week in Denver while riding a Bentley with unfortunate vanity plate.

Feb 6, 2012 - The Denver Broncos may be without running back Knowshon Moreno for the beginning of the 2012 NFL season after he was arrested for DUI last week, The Denver Post reports. He was reportedly going 75 mph on a road that's normally a 65-mph speed limit, but the limit was reduced to 45 mph due to construction.

The real gem of the story is an interesting little nugget:

The personalized license plate on the car read "SAUCED," according to TV station KDVR-31.

Moreno drives — or "drove," as may soon be the case — a Bentley, so having a license plate personalized with slang for "I've had a few too many," on a wildly expensive car probably wasn't the wisest of ideas, in retrospect.

The Broncos said they were "thoroughly reviewing the matter," according to the Post. Moreno and his agent are thoroughly reviewing options for alternative vanity plates.

Why is this anyones business?

I’m so sick of people posting every bad thing any athlete ever does. I wish people would follow you “contributors” around 24/7 and report every bad thing that happens to you, see how you like it.

Sadly

Reporters are held to a higher standard than athletes and they tend to have better judgement. I don’t know anyone in the professional world who can kill a pedestrian with their car like Donte Stallworth and get 30 days in jail or commit domestic violence and then get signed like Cornell Green. Leonard Little killed a person and got probation and community service. Just saying, whether it matters is up for debate, but whether many professions can compete with athletes over criminality is not.
