With the signing of Peyton Manning now official, the Denver Broncos will now look to move Tim Tebow. Tebow, however, knew it was inevitable that the Broncos would try to trade him away and now hopes he will be able to go back home to Florida. The wife of one of Tebow's close friends Brad Culpepper, Monica Culpepper, told 970 WFLA that he misses the South and home.
"Brad and I just had dinner with Tim last week and I don't think this comes as a shock or surprise to him that Manning was actually going to go there," she said. "And in all honesty, Tim said, ‘I miss home. I miss the South. And hopefully I'll land somewhere in Florida.' I sure hope Jacksonville takes him because he's such a great kid, such a good player and would be so thrilled to come back to the South."
Two of the three NFL franchises in Florida, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Jacksonville Jaguars, have been linked to having interest in Tebow. You have to wonder, however, if Tebow winds up being traded to another team outside of the state of Florida, how is that going to effect him mentally going forward?
