Were you worried that Tim Tebow being traded to the New York Jets didn't have any more legs? Good news! The Tebow trade won't go through until Saturday, thanks to a procedural issue, ESPN's Ed Werder reports.
Tebow will have to sign a rewritten contract with the Denver Broncos on Friday, remain on the Denver salary cap for 24 hours and then be officially traded to the Jets for two draft picks, likely because trading the immensely popular starting quarterback of a playoff team to the most media-saturated city on the planet after signing a future Hall of Famer was just not interesting or circuitous enough.
Tebow flew to New York on Thursday and was scheduled to be introduced as a Jet in a news conference, but that has been delayed until Monday, so even when the trade is officially done ... it won't really be done.
