Warren Sapp Is Bankrupt, Lists Painting Of Naked Woman As Asset

There are not a lot of funny things about bankruptcy, no matter who's going through the process. It's embarrassing, especially for a public figure who we know has earned tens of millions of dollars throughout his career. But that's what's happening to Warren Sapp, who filed for bankruptcy to avoid going to jail, he told National Football Post.

Since it's Sapp, though, there still has to be a punch line -- he does have a sense of humor, after all. So at least we know he's taking this all somewhat in stride.

In legal documents, he did claim 240 pairs of Nike shoes and a painting of a naked woman as assets.

"I'm not an interior decorator,'' Sapp said. "Some designer put that on the wall, and I liked it. It's in my bedroom. By the time a woman gets there, she might be naked, too."

And if you were wondering how Sapp managed to lose two championship rings -- one from the Super Bowl and the other from his Miami Hurricanes days -- he explains that in the interview, as well.
