Ryan Leaf Arrested Again On Burglary, Drug Charges

Stay connected with SB Nation

Over the weekend former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf was arrested and charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor theft and criminal possession of dangerous drugs. On Monday, he was arrested -- again -- on drug and burglary charges, according to the Associated Press.

Both arrests came in Montana.

Central Montana Drug Force Commander Chris Hickman says Leaf was arrested early Monday in Great Falls and is facing charges of burglary, theft and two counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs. He also is being detained on a probation violation.

Hickman says the new charges stem from a burglary on Saturday - the day after Leaf was arrested and charged with burglarizing an acquaintance's home for prescription painkillers.

Leaf, who is one of the biggest NFL draft busts in history, has been in trouble with the law in the past but even this -- two arrests in four days -- is a new low.

Leaf has a court date on Monday afternoon. He is not being released on bond yet.
