The Cleveland Browns are now expected to trade QB Colt McCoy after they spent a first round pick on Oklahoma State QB Brandon Weeden on Thursday night. Browns GM Tom Heckert acknowledged that Weeden would likely start and trade discussions regarding McCoy would begin.
The first team reportedly interested in McCoy is the Green Bay Packers, according to Scout.com. The Packers lost backup QB Matt Flynn to the Seattle Seahawks in free agency, so they're looking for another quarterback to groom.
It's unclear how much McCoy would cost a team in a trade but probably not more than a mid-to-late round draft pick. He was the Browns third-round pick in the 2010 NFL draft. He is 6-15 as a starter in his career and has completed 58 percent of his passes.
