The Minnesota Vikings are looking to improve their situation in 2012. Team owner Zygi Wilf is hoping Bill Parcells will be interested in the head coaching position.
The Minnesota Vikings are hoping that 2012 can be a rebuilding year following a disastrous season that saw them go 3-13 under head coach Leslie Frazier.
The team is currently attempting to solidify a roster that will be an improvement over 2011, which will he an overhaul that extends all the way to the head coach position. They have a very interesting candidate in mind that they would like to see take over that role.
... A source said Parcells revealed Wilf's offer to "name his price" to both oversee the Vikings' football operations and coach the team.
But Parcells, who turns 71 in August, said he had reservations about taking such a job. Parcells told the group he wondered whether the game had "passed me by."
It remains to be seen whether WIlf will be able to come up with an offer sweet enough to entice the legendary coach back into action.
