As you've probably noticed by now, NFL teams unveiled their new high tech Nike uniforms to much fanfare this week. As you've also probably noticed, the NFL is an entity that takes enormous pleasure in selling anything and everything to its fans.
With this in mind, don't let it be a surprise that the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE decided to open up a ***special*** store that "popped up" (!!) in midtown Manhattan to give fans the unique opportunity to buy all sorts of new Nike, Under Armour, and New Era shirts and hats at heavily expected prices during these next few weeks before the 2012 NFL Draft down the street at Radio City Music Hall.
Knowing that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and a mix of current and former players (Dustin Keller, Terrell Owens, Lavar Arrington, et al) would be on hand at the "event," SB Nation decided to attend for a BREAKING NEWS UPDATE about fans trading American currency for consumer goods.
