Vince Young is headed to Buffalo after singing a one-year contract with the Bills.
Young, who spent last season as the backup quarterback in Philadelphia, singed a one-year contract with a base salary of $2 million according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Young can earn an additional $1 million in incentives. Last week, Young traveled to Buffalo to workout for the Bills.
This is the second consecutive off-season where Young has signed a one-year deal to be a backup quarterback. Young entered the NFL as the third overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft and won offensive rookie of the year that season.
Young will now head to Buffalo to backup Ryan Fitzpatrick who signed a multi-year contract extension during last season. In addition to Young and Fitzpatrick, the Bills also have quarterbacks Aaron Corp and Tyler Thigpen on their roster. Young will presumably battle Thigpen for the No. 2 job.
