Donald Driver has been with the Green Bay Packers since 1999. It appears as though the receiver has restructured his contract with the team that will keep him in Green Bay for the remainder of his playing days.
Donald Driver has been with the Green Bay Packers since being selected by the team as a seventh-round draft pick in 1999. He has won a Super Bowl with the team and has become the franchise's all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards. Now it appears as though he will remain on with the team for the remainder of his playing years.
Lance Allan of NBC Milwaukee reported on Tuesday that he received an email from Driver's agent, Jordan Woy, stating that Driver and the Packers have agreed to terms on a new contract but intend to meet with the team on Wednesday to finalize a deal.
Donald Driver followed up on his personal Twitter feed later on Tuesday, indicating that this will likely be the last contract he will need to sign in his NFL career.
Tweeps: when I said I will be a Packer for life. It is now true. Packer for life.
