NEW YORK -- During Wade Davis' football career, which included stints with the Tennessee Titans, Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks -- and even a championship with Berlin in NFL Europe -- he never told anyone that he was gay.
Now, at age 34 and retired, Davis is not only telling his story at-length for the first time publicly to our sister site, Outsports.com, he also sat down with me to talk about his life; first as a closeted football player, then post-football, which includes his work with at-risk gay youth and also campaigning for President Obama.
