Tyvon Branch, Raiders Agree To 4-Year, $26.6 Million Deal, Per Report

The Oakland Raiders and safety Tyvon Branch agreed to a four-year deal just days before the Monday deadline to sign franchised players to long-term contract extensions. Jason LaCanfora of CBSSports.com reported the news on Saturday morning. The Raiders have yet to announce the deal.

The Raiders used the franchise tag on Branch this spring. He signed the tender on May 7, after initially stating that he would not. Under the franchise tag, Branch was due to make $6.2 million on a one-year deal.

NFL.com reported that Branch's new deal was worth $26.6 million, with $17.1 million guaranteed.

A fourth-round pick in 2008, Branch has developed into one of Oakland's top defensive players. He led the team with a total of 109 tackles and assists last season.
