Dashon Goldson will not will be getting a long-term deal with the San Francisco 49ers this season. Goldson's agent, Ben Dogra, reportedly told CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco that the two parties were unable to strike a deal by Monday's 4 p.m. ET deadline for franchise tagged players to sign extensions, meaning the safety will play under a one-year contract for 2012 before becoming an unrestricted free agent after the season.

Goldson has been with the Niners since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He made his first career Pro Bowl in 2011, recording a career-high six interceptions and nine passes defended to go along with 67 tackles.
