After the debacle that was the early part of last season, the Philadelphia Eagles will probably refrain from calling themselves the 'Dream Team' during training camp in 2012. The Eagles had a big free agency period last season, but it took them until very late in the season to put it all together. They finished strong, however, and face very high expectations in the NFC East.
The Eagles upgraded their weak defensive interior by adding middle linebacker DeMeco Ryans through a trade and defensive tackle Fletcher Cox through the draft. Still, it's going to take more than a couple of players to fix the Eagles' defense, which got burned regularly by good rushing attacks and short passes over the middle. Philly can cover receivers on the outside, rush the passer and score, but only time will tell whether or not they've fixed their glaring problems. They begin training camp on July 25.
