Felix Jones failed his conditioning test at Dallas Cowboys training camp Monday. He is still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, but the news still comes as a shock from one of the team's best athletes. Jones should factor heavily into Cowboys' offense this season as a change-of-pace running back.

Jones split carries with DeMarco Murray last season. Murray was the much more effective back when healthy, but Jones still played an important role, especially as a receiver. Jones finished with 575 yards rushing on 127 carries, and 221 yards on 33 receptions.
Jones should get another opportunity to pass the test and he will be expected to pass in due time. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have a few other concerns with training camp in full swing:
