Houston Texans fans were understandably nervous following a report Sunday that Andre Johnson had left practice early with a pulled groin. An MRI revealed the injury to be minor, however, and the wide receiver has been able to do some light jogging at practice since. Head coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday that he thinks Johnson will return sometime next week.
"I would say next week," Kubiak said. "I'd love to tell you that's Monday. I hope it's Monday, but I would say next week."
Johnson missed nine games last season with multiple hamstring injuries, and missed OTAs in May while recovering from knee surgery. The Texans drafted DeVier Posey out of Ohio State in third round of the 2012 NFL Draft to join Kevin Walter and Lestar Jean and help flesh out the depth chart at receiver.
