It's not the craziest looking mugshot, but Adrian Peterson's photo will draw some attention.
Here's Peterson, smiling, after he was locked up for allegedly pushing an off-duty police officer:
The story goes that Peterson was at a Houston bar as closing time was nearing. An off-duty police officer, working security, told Peterson the bar was closing and he needed to leave. Peterson, according to the report, wanted another drink (of water, apparently).
Some words apparently were exchanged, but Peterson eventually walked to the exit with one of the club's bouncers.
It's believed that one of the officers then jumped on Peterson's back from behind and tried to take him down. (Key word: "tried.") Other officers then joined the fray and completed the arrest.
An arrest in July, with nothing else going on in the football world, means this will receive more attention and scrutiny than perhaps it should.
