On Tuesday afternoon, Washington Redskins wide receiver Leonard Hankerson was carted off the practice field with his pads off and a towel on his head. As of this time, no explanation has been provided as to why he left the field.
Hankerson missed most of last season due to a subluxation of his right hip during a mid-Nov. game against the Miami Dolphins (which implies an incomplete or partial dislocation of the joint) in addition to a torn labrum.
Not sure of Hankerson's injury, whether he was hurt or heat-related. He got off the cart and entered the building.— Mike Jones (@MikeJonesWaPo) August 14, 2012
The 23-year old, University of Miami product was projected to be the Redskins No. 2 wide receiver this season.
