David Garrard's Injury Expected To Cost Him 3-4 Weeks

The Miami Dolphins have been in a state of flux this offseason.

With David Garrard now sidelined due to a knee injury, the starting quarterback position seems more up for grabs now than ever before.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Garrard will miss 3-to-4 weeks while his knee recovers from arthroscopic surgery. When general manager Jeff Ireland was informed of that on the HBO's Hard Knocks, Ireland threw his cell phone down on his desk in frustration.

The injury has to be very troubling to Ireland, after Garrard missed all of last season following a back injury.

With Garrard out for the remainder of the preseason, the job is left for Matt Moore and Ryan Tannehill to fight over. Tannehill was terrific in his debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, going 14-for-21 with a touchdown.

No announcement has been made who will get the start in Miami's second preseason tilt against the Carolina Panthers on Friday.
