The Oakland Raiders will be without two key playmakers for Friday night's preseason matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. After suffering what seemed like endless injuries last season, the Raiders are taking every precaution in training camp, which means wide receiver Denarius Moore and running back Taiwan Jones, both of whom have suffered hamstring injuries, will sit out this week.
Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times has the full injury report from Raiders camp here.
Moore had a nice rookie debut with Oakland in 2011, hauling in 33 receptions for 618 yards and five touchdowns. He is expected to be one of quarterback Carson Palmer's key targets on the outside this season.
Jones appeared in 10 games last season with the Raiders, playing sparingly while Darren McFadden was injured. Given the injury concerns with the running backs on Oakland's roster, Jones could be a key member of a Raider backfield that was very strong last year.
Neither player's injury is considered too serious, but both will be worth keeping an eye on as training camp progresses.
