The Raiders and the Cardinals continue to work out the kinks in a Friday night exhibition matchup.
Exhibition games are for working out all the kinks before the regular season starts. If the Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals games are any indication, both teams still have quite a few question marks that need to be answered.
The Raiders offense struggled mightily in a 3-0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night - as the shutout score indicates. But it wasn't all heartbreak and gloom on the Raider Nation front. Running back Darren McFadden picked up 38 yards on just three plays in his first game back since injuring his foot last year. Undrafted free agent Rod Streater caught six passes for 66 yards. As the score also shows, the Raiders defense did a fantastic job of frustrating the Cowboys offense.
Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals are desperately hoping that the quarterback battle between John Skelton and Kevin Kolb will resolve itself sooner than later. Running back Beanie Wells is itching to get onto the gridiron, but it might not be this week. The coaching staff is playing it safe with Wells and is waiting to see how he responds to hits in full pads before throwing him out on the field.
