Jacksonville will be looking for signs of life from their second-year QB when they play New Orleans on Friday night.
As the New Orleans Saints continue their efforts to re-build their offense without suspended head coach Sean Payton, they face the Jacksonville Jaguars in their second game of the pre-season on Friday.
Jacksonville, meanwhile, will hope that second-year QB Blaine Gabbert can show some signs of development after a disappointing rookie campaign. Many thought that Gabbert was rushed onto the field last season, so this pre-season could be crucial to his development.
While playing against a vanilla Saints defense can only tell us so much about Gabbert's development, this is the type of setting where the coaching staff will expect him to improve his game and take command of the offense.
Game Date/Time: Friday, August 17; 8 p.m. ET
Location: Superdome, New Orleans, LA
