Jeff Demps' decision on his next NFL team was supposed to come Thursday night but we never heard anything. By Friday morning, Demps' mind was made up. He'll be signing with the New England Patriots, according to multiple sources. Contract details were not reported at the time.

#Patriots, per 1 of his agents, Nohemy Baltodano. Wow!
News of Demps signing with the Patriots leaked out Friday morning, but his agent pushed back on initial reports.
Jeff Demps's agent tells me that the report is NOT true as of right now. He is currently in Orlando, FL going over his options.— OnlyGators.com (@onlygators) August 17, 2012
Demps, formerly with the Florida Gators, focused his attention on the Olympics, where he won a silver medal as part of the U.S. 4x100-meter relay team, instead of the NFL Draft, where he could've been a late round pick. With the Olympics over, he applied to enter the NFL, making him free to sign with any team.
Reports stated that more than a few NFL teams interested in the speedster, and plenty of teams made contact with Demps. He was a fairly sought after player considering the season is only a few weeks away.
