Blaine Gabbert would like to refute that whole "scared" in the pocket thing. On Friday night, he had Justin Blackmon to help him with that task. Gabbert found Blackmon for the second time to conclude a 90-yard drive with a 16-yard touchdown pass to the rookie receiver.
A couple things worth noting about the touchdown, which was Gabbert's third complete pass in three tries. 1) He made the throw with the pocket collapsing around him, something pundits have been saying he cannot do. 2) He hit Blackmon in a pretty tight window.
Credit Blackmon for a nice grab too.
