Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson is putting a lot of worried minds to rest with his work on Friday evening. Sure, it's only preseason, but CJ2K has looked very much like the man who once ran for 2,000 yards in 2009. Midway through the second quarter of Tennessee's Week 2 preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Johnson has accounted for both his team's touchdowns.
This is Johnson's second touchdown, an effortless one-cut 14-yard run that put the Titans up by a score of 17-7.
Johnson has had fantasy football general managers and Titans fans worried. He was mostly flat last year after an extended holdout through training camp. Last week, he was underwhelming in preseason play.
So far this week, Johnson has 46 yards on 10 carries with a pair of touchdowns. That sound you heard was the Titans' hopes rising.
