The St. Louis Rams will host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 action of the NFL preseason.
As they often do in the preseason, the St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs will meet in a battle of Missouri. After playing in Kansas City during the 2011 preseason, the two teams will face off in St. Louis on Saturday.
The Rams enter their second preseason game, looking for a better result than the 38-3 loss they took in the preseason opener. Entering his third season, Sam Bradford completed 7-of-9 passes for 57 yards in that first game, but the Rams offense had little to show for it. Bradford and the other starters, including Steven Jackson, played two series in the opener, both of which ended in punts.
The Kansas City offensive starters had plenty of success in their preseason opener, scoring two touchdowns as part of the Chiefs' 27-17 win against the Arizona Cardinals. Matt Cassel played two series against Arizona, completing 5-of-6 passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. After missing the final 14 games of the 2012 season, Jamaal Charles returned to action last week.
