Previewing the battle between Tim Tebow and Eli Manning.
The Super Bowl champion New York Giants will take the field against Tim Tebow and the New York Jets on Saturday, Aug. 18. With it being the second game of the preseason, we should probably expect the starters to stay in at least a few drives before being pulled for subs. It's important to let the first-string guys get their reps, but the very last thing the coaching staffs want is for unnecessary injuries to arise.
For the Giants, it's all about working out the kinks. This team clearly has what it takes to make another deep run this season, but a lot will be dictated on just how hard Eli Manning, Victor Cruz, Osi Umenyiora and crew work in the preseason. Now that they have a huge target on their back, you can bet every team in the league will be gunning for New York these next few months.
The Jets are committed to working Tebow into their offense, and we're expecting to see even more of the NFL's most talked-about quarterback on Saturday. Look for plenty of Tebow Time this evening, all while Mark Sanchez continues working towards a breakout season.
Start Time & Location: Kickoff from MetLife Stadium is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
TV Schedule: NFL Network will air the game nationally for everyone to see.
Odds: The Giants opened as one-point favorites over the Jets.
