Chicago Bears rookie Brandon Hardin was removed from the field on a stretcher during a preseason game on Saturday night.
Hardin hit the Redskins' Logan Paulsen in the hip while making a tackle, and his head snapped back. You can see the play in question here:
Hardin would stay down on the field for a while and had to be removed on a stretcher. He raised his arms on the stretcher, eliciting cheers from the crowd.
Hardin was taken by the Bears in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft despite missing the entirety of his senior season at Oregon State in 2011. He had 47 tackles and a sack for the Beavers as a junior in 2010.
There is no further update on Hardin's condition at this time.
