Dwayne Bowe's Status For Chiefs 3rd Preseason Game Still Up In The Air

The Kansas City Chiefs continue to take things slow with newly-signed receiver Dwayne Bowe, as head coach Romeo Crennel still has no idea whether his star wideout will be in uniform for Friday's preseason game against Seattle according to Arrowhead Pride.

Crennel mentioned that he doesn't want to put too much on Bowe's plate in the early going, and will wait to see how he responds to the week of practice before making the final call. "I think that depends on how he does the next couple of days here and tomorrow, in particular, after we get him in pads," Crennel said.

Still just 27 years old, the 6-foot-2 Bowe posted his fourth career 70+ reception season in 2012 despite a bevy of injuries and what can only be considered erratic quarterback play. Though his touchdown numbers dropped off significantly this past year (5) after an eye-popping 15-touchdown campaign in 2011, there are only a handful of players in the league who can match Bowe's big-play ability when he's fully healthy and motivated.
