Brian Orakpo of the Washington Redskins will not be playing in the remainder of the preseason do to scar tissue in his left pectoral muscle, according to head coach Mike Shanahan.
Orakpo sustained the injury while attempting to make a tackle in the first quarter of Saturday night's game against the Chicago Bears. He left the field with the training staff and didn't return.

#Redskins HC Mike Shanahan says LB Brian Orakpo does NOT have a torn pec, only a little scar tissue. Will not play until week 1.
The 26-year-old linebacker said that he initially thought that he re-tore the muscle, which he originally injured at the end of the 2011 season against the Philadelphia Eagles. After undergoing an MRI on Sunday, Orakpo stated that he is optimistic about the injury as the test came up negative.
"Today I feel good," Orakpo said. "The swelling has been down. I'm very optimistic about it. The injury wasn't as significant as we originally thought."
