The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were awarded wide receiver Jordan Shipley off waivers on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Shipley comes to Tampa Bay by way of the Cincinnati Bengals, who cut him on Aug. 17.

Shipley is returning from a major knee injury that he suffered in Sept. 2011; the injury limited his effectiveness in Bengals camp and ultimately resulted in his release.
Shipley caught 52 passes for 600 yards and three touchdowns for the Bengals in 2010; he appeared in 15 games that season, two of which he started. The knee injury last season limited him to just two games and a total of four receptions.
Shipley is entering his third NFL season.
