Dez Bryant Plans To Be Ready For Cowboys-Giants In Week 1

Stay connected with SB Nation

Dallas wide receiver Dez Bryant told reporters on Tuesday that he'll be ready to play in the Cowboys' first regular season game against the New York Giants. Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill tweeted that Bryant said he will "no doubt" be on the field for Week 1 after he left Monday's practice with a knee injury.

The Cowboys travel to face the Giants on Sept. 5.

Bryant's original injury didn't appear serious, as the Cowboys wide receiver was walking in and out of the training room when he left Monday's practice early. An MRI soon after revealed that Bryant was only suffering from patellar tendinitis.

Fellow Dallas wide receiver Miles Austin has also been struggling to recover from an injury. He will sit out the rest of the preseason, though ESPN reports he is expected to be ready for New York as well.
