Maurice Jones-Drew Holdout: Jaguars RB Thinks 'Things Are Going To Work Out'

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew offered some thoughts on his contract holdout on Wednesday, saying he thinks "things are going to work out" with the Jaguars, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

The running back offered the comment during a chat about fantasy football. After admitting he drafts himself every year, MJD assured that, holdout aside, he remains worth drafting this year.

"I think things are going to work out," Jones-Drew said, an open-ended comment that doesn't indicate whether he thinks they will result in a trade or in his reporting to Jacksonville to play his seventh season for the Jaguars.

Jones-Drew has indicated that he would be open to a trade, but as reported earlier on Wednesday, the Jaguars are not "actively" trying to trade him. For his part, Jacksonville owner Shad Khan has taken something of a hard stance toward Jones-Drew.
