The Minnesota Vikings will have No. 28 in full uniform on the sidelines for Friday night's preseason game, but All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson see any playing time.
Peterson, coming back from a horrific knee injury suffered toward the end of last season, has only recently come to grips with the Vikings' decision to sit him for the team's two remaining preseason games. He'll apparently be allowed to do his pre-game duties Friday night, however, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

The same plan will likely be in place for next week's preseason finale, too, before Peterson returns to the starting lineup for the season opener.
