The Houston Texans visit the New Orleans Saints on Saturday night as the NFL preseason moves closer to its conclusion.
The Texans are 2-0 in the preseason after double-digit wins over the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers. Quarterback Matt Schaub has posted a solid 70% completion percentage, going 14-20 for 180 yards and one touchdown over the two games. Houston has been splitting carries between Arian Foster, Ben Tate, Justin Forsett, and Jonathan Grimes, as would be expected in the preseason.
New Orleans is 1-2, dropping its last two games after a win in the Hall Of Fame Game over Arizona. In very limited time, Drew Brees is 15-22 for 178 yards and one touchdown. Missouri product Chase Daniel has taken most of the Saints' snaps this preseason, and has thrown for 450 yards and three touchdowns on 35-47 passing. Mark Ingram has the Saints' only rushing touchdown of the three games.
On Wednesday, Houston lost defensive lineman Ra'Shon Harris for the year after he tore his triceps. New Orleans has lost OL Fenuki Tupou (triceps) and LB Chris Chamberlain (knee) for the year over the last week as well.
