All you need to know about the 49ers vs. Broncos preseason matchup.
The San Francisco 49ers head to Mile High on Sunday to take on the Denver Broncos in the second-to-last preseason matchup of the summer.
Even though it's early, the 49ers are showing that 2011 was not a fluke. San Francisco's offense has averaged 339.5 yards per game through the first two games of the preseason, ranking eighth in the NFL. On defense, they've allowed just 243.5 yards per game, the seventh-best mark in the league.
This will be the 34th preseason meeting between these two teams, with the Broncos holding a 18-15 advantage in the series. The clubs last met in the preseason back in 2009, with the 49ers taking the 17-16 victory. This game also marks the 49ers' first national preseason game since 2010, when they faced the Minnesota Vikings on NBC's Sunday Night Football.
