NFL Roster Cuts 2012: Donte Stallworth Out In New England, According To Report

The New England Patriots released Donte Stallworth on Monday morning, according to Pats Pulpit.

Stallworth was looking for his second tour of duty with New England after being a part of its undefeated (regular) season back in 2007. However, Bill Belichick decided to let him go after seeing what the 31-year-old receiver had left in the tank during the preseason.

Stallworth has bounced around some in his career since breaking in with the New Orleans Saints back in 2002. The Tennessee product played in the Big Easy for four seasons before being a member of five different teams in as many years including the Philadelphia Eagles, Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and Washington Redskins.

Also on Monday, New England cut fullback Spencer Larsen, per Aaron Wilson. Defensive end Tim Bulman was let go as well in an effort to trim the roster down to 75 players before the 4 p.m. ET deadline.
